Bubba and The Agents of Groove

Bubba and the Agents of Groove are a project of special musicians who perform a mix of acid jazz, nu-jazz, funk, and Drum and Bass / Jungle. The project is led by bassist Rob Brown (aka The Bubba), and has a rotating roster of musicians, or his "special agents".

The works of George Benson, Roy Ayers, Herbie Hancock, Goldie and Ronny Jordan inspires the music. The sound is fresh, and daring. It is both aggressive and soothing at the same time. It brings jazz sensibilities with a funky backbeat. The music is hip, and the vibe is hype.

Donna Ferra

Donna Ferra is a country singer who not only does new country but fuses a little R&B and soul into the mix. Her core backing-band is Peter Linsemen (guitar/music director), Lorne MacMillen on keys, The Bubba on bass, Tomas Guzman on guitar, Madeline Sleighthold on back-up vocals, Alex Cheung on fiddle, and Todd Gibbons on drums.

The Jazz Trio

Simply called "The Jazz Trio", the band is a creative foray for these musicians into the more traditional jazz idioms. Featuring Rob Brown (The Bubba) on bass along with keys, drums and/or guitar, they bring out some classic jazz, bossa and even a few more modern tunes. Needless to say, you’ve never heard these songs sound so good.
